Any issues with the kickstand?

I was looking at one of the dummy units of the HTC Evo at Best Buy and I noticed the kickstand wasn't really flushed against the back of the phone. It was sticking out a bit. I tried to push it in further, but it would pop back out. My only concern about the kickstand sticking out is that it might get caught in my pant pocket as I remove it, causing me to fumble and drop the phone.

I'm hoping this is just an issue with the dummy unit and not the actual device. Any early Evo owners notice this issue?

Seems like someone messed with it, or just a defect in the dummy device =P

No issues here. The kickstand is rock solid on my Evo.

Sent from my HTC Evo 'cause that's how I roll.

I asked about this at my local Best Buy and the rep told me that was only an issue on the dummy units. They were quickly and cheaply put together. The actual kickstand is spring loaded and should not have this issue.

Thanks! Glad to hear that the kickstand on the actual device is fine and that it's most likely just a dummy issue.

Same issue at my store, dummy is a pos.

The real deals are heavier built and spring loaded.

Yeah all those dummy units are junk.

The BB I was at actually replaced the dummy unit kickstand with a switch blade and the button on the top now makes it pop out. They said for $4.99 + $49 installation fee they can do it to mine too!!! Pretty cool stuff.

i had an issue.

I was just flipping mine in and out because I love to fiddle with things, then it broke, and now it doesn't go in ever. Anybody know how to fix this without the $55?

The only problem I have with the kickstand is that it should be in the center of the back, not down at the bottom. SIGH.

That's not even possible... There would be no room for stuff..

Interesting way to get rid of a warranty and Sprint support.
