Was at bestbuy today and played a bit with Note 5. I have to admit, it looks amazing and runs great. Screen quality is amazing as would be expected from a leader in the space. New/fresh icons gives it a modern look. Runs fast and smooth on dialed back TouchWiz skin.

Overall, looks like a great phone to have. Any Nexus 6 users thinking Note 5 could be their next phone?

Was at Verizon last night and also tried it out. Was nice but not sure nice enough to switch

I am switching and giving the Nexus 6 to the wife. Missing the s-pen and fingerprint scanner more than I thought.

I had the opposite feeling. Had a Note 4 Edge and got the Nexus 6 itch when I saw the Note 5. :)

Made the swap 2 days ago.

Can't say that I miss it but I never used the pen. If you use the pen, or think you would, it's your only option. Doesn't hurt that the Notes are pretty good phones as well.

Yes ...I am. Haven't seen it in person...but miss some of the things it has....like s pen, multi tasking, great camera. I have greatly enjoyed my N6...super fast....but Note 5 has a few things that push it over the edge for me. Will get in a few days probably.

I have been watching the note 5 coverage and I very tempted into trading my Nexus 6 in for the Note 5. I think I will wait to see what the new Nexus looks like before deciding.

I had both Note 3 and 4 before switching to Nexus 6. Tough call to go back but Note 5 sure looks good.

I've got that burning desire to go waste $800 for the note 5 as well. The thing I love about the nexus I know we will get the upgrade the way google designed it and in a timely manner. i also get solid battery life, 5 to 6 hours of screen time. I'm going to wait and see some more real world battery life reports, but the updates will never be as good as the nexus. I've had the note 3 and 4 and they never run as smooth as my nexus does after a few months.

I chose the Note 4 last fall, then the GS6 and now the Nexus 6. IMO I chose wrong twice and just rectified those mistakes a couple weeks ago. Sammy makes great hardware these days and the cameras are presently unbeatable. I've come to the realization that for me software is king and a bloated skin that shudders and janks fresh from the box isn't for me. Loving the Nexus 6, even the massive size.

Stagefright update is my main concern now. I think I need to switch from Nexus 6 since the update can't install on my phone. I am puzzled as to why it is not installing? I'm prompted to install, I proceed but then it stops midstream showing a red rectangle superimposed on a fallen Android icon with the message "error". The prompt to install is constantly brought back however. I have therefore attempted installing at least 15 times with same result. I've had to hold down the power button for phone to reboot and work again on each occasion. Bought the phone 5 or 6 weeks ago. Ironically, it was able to instantly update from Lollipop 5.0 to 5.1 at set-up. Pray, what may have gone wrong? How can I resolve this. I have tried switching on OED unlocking & USB debugging in Developer options as well as allowed "unknown sources" in security but all to no avail.

Kindly help. My version appears to be American (as I have its two-pin charger and I reside in Ireland

I had the Note 2, 3 and 4, then went back to a Nexus device (Nexus 6). While I do miss the s-pen a little, I don't miss Samsung at all.

Flash the factory image.

I keep thinking of the Note 5, thinking of what it should have been, an improved Note 4. Removable battery, SD card slot, something nice and new with the software and then I stop and think of what I have, a Nexus 6. I still don't have the removable battery, but it's bigger! I still don't have the SD card slot, but I have learned to manage my apps and movies and I'm fine. My OTG 64g USB 2.0 drive works great.

Then I stop and think of the S Pen, oh I'll miss that. They I think of all that Samsung crap and Sprint crap that is on the phone. The invasion of my personal space by applications that I cannot get rid of, applications taking up the phones resources.

Nah, I'll stick with my Nexus 6.

As a guy who doesn't root, a stock Android experience with no UI and bloat is most important to me.
