I believe it is fine if you get caught in the rain etc which tbh is all I care about, I’d never submerge such an expensive device.
Oh Morty! You're thinking of cheating on your Pixel 2 as well huh!Question: I'm watching a P30/P30 Pro AC review video... Apparently the smaller P30 is only IP 53 splash resistant! So sad! And more than a little disappointing. Does anyone have any experience using the P30 that can kind of ease my worries a little bit? My Pixel 2 is "water resistant" and I've grown quite accustomed to that feature.
Apparently it's a Samsung panel.
What I'm most worried about is rain/snow exposure. Even though my Pixel 2 is water resistant I never submerge it or put it where there's steam, etc. I just love the P30 and that was one thing that disappointed me. But you do have a point.
IP53 is more than enough to take the occasional dip here and there as proven by phones with the same rating in the past so it'll be fine. Even non-rated Huawei phones survived two minutes under water perfectly in the past in Youtube test videos.
