Any Note 8 or 9 Users going to the dark side? (iPhone XsMax)

I get several phones yearly as well. I have three T-Mobile lines and one AT&T. I am using a Note 9, Note 8, S9+ and a iPhone 8+ on all these lines.

The S9+ has my main line and it's the only number I give out to people. I'm in the process of selling most of my old iPhones. I just sold a 256GB iPhone 7+on Swappa. Next I'm selling my 256GB iPhone 8+ and some Apple watches.

I paid for my Note 9 several days ago by selling an iPad and an Apple Watch.

never, was on iPhone from 6s to 7s. I've been happy with s8, s8+, note 8 and now note 9. 9 is the best phone ever

XS is going to be the first iPhone series I completely and totally skip for the entire year I think. No interest whatsoever really. The watch looks meh too. Galaxy Watch crushes the Apple Watch if you ask me.

Those new iPads though....now thooooose.....those are hot.

Not a big fan of the "Locked Down" OS. I tried it. I felt limited. It runs smooth though and there are thing I did like about iOS

Bite..your..tongue

Lol I did read a story the other day that Samsung could put a notch in one of their future phone but the difference between Samsung and the other carriers that are doing the notch is that Samsung supposedly would not put it on front of the phone. Supposedly the back of the phone. I would have to see how that looked lol. But I guess I could deal with it on the back. Don't want one on the front. Lol.

Wth would it be on the back

If many people said Note 9 is just some incremental changes, I wonder what iPhone XS will have except for the bigger screen

I've been an iPhone user up to and including the iPhone 5. I then moved to Android with a Nexus 5 and then to Windows Phone - which was, IMO, the best phone OS. I loved it and would still be using it had Microsoft not effectively killed it. With the demise of Windows Phone I went back to Android and have had a Nexus 5x, Galaxy S6, S7, S7 Edge, S8, Pixel 2 and now a Galaxy S9. Technically I'm not qualified to contribute to this thread because I don't have a Note 9 - but I'm going to anyway.

I have been increasingly concerned at Google's data gathering shenanigans. Gathering data and monetising it is the company's business model. I'm less happy with that model than I have ever been and have recently moved away from as many Google services as possible - my calendar and contacts are now hosted on my NAS and I use Firefox Focus with StartPage as my search engine. However, given I am using an Android phone, Google still knows way too much about me. I figure Apple is less of a problem - of course it gathers data, but I am not the product in the way I am with Google. Add to that I have to accept that Apple offers a tremendous after-sales operation. I have an Apple Store nearby and it is good to know I can call in and get my phone sorted if there is a problem.

I will be buying an iPhone Xs on pre-order day.
