Any one regret not getting the Edge variant?

It is sexy now.... But the first time you drop it, and you will, and the screen cracks it won't be so sexy any more. Now you'll have to spend money on that sexy thing and it will drain your wallet. Sounds like a sexy woman if you ask me. :-)

If you are using your phone naked, maybe, with any cover outthere, there is no really difference on that matter between the regular and the edge, and yes, I have dropped my S6 edge 2 or 3 times, and not a single scratch, dent or damage to the screen or phone. Using the Ringke Fusion cover since day 1. Just saying because the way you describe it seems that it's guaranteed that the edge will get damage with every single drop. There are drops and there are drops, and believe me, there are ones that no matter the cover or the case the screen will get shattered.

I love my edge. The main reason is that the screen is easier to read. I like how it wraps around the edge.

I debated it but I honestly didn't care for the distortion looking at images full screen, or as others said, accidentally activating the screen edges constantly.

This is basically my main reason. If they just made the S7 a touch bigger, it would be perfect, but alas, I'm pretty happy w/ it as is. Coming from the Nexus 6P, this thing is tiny. LOL.

No I don't regret it. I came from a LG V10 so compared to that, it's tiny lol. I have the t-mobile jump so if I feel regret, I'll jump. But for now I'm pretty satisfied with the S7.

"Sexy"? Really? Have you guys stopped to think about how that sounds? I know it's popular to use that adjective to describe an inanimate object...but maybe it shouldn't be. Sounds a tad ridiculous imo. Now let's compare the sexiness of the S7/Edge to THIS (even if it's not his best look). Yeah, really no comparison is there? ;) :D

No regrets. This phone is the perfect size for me.

Absolutely not.
I went to the Samsung store to check out both devices before buying it last week. The S7 Edge is way too big for my taste, no matter how big the battery is. Not to mention the S7 lasts me easily through the day anyway.

I was debating during the preorder period. I finally concluded that despite the extra screen real estate and the larger battery, I couldn't justify the $110 difference in price. I'm quite happy with my S7.

I do not like Phablets. I like to able to put my phone in my front pants pockets without a big bulge. So I pre-ordered the S7 from Verizon. When I found out last Sunday that Best Buy had them on display at their local shop, I went to see how the S7 looks and feel in person. I was surprised to see that the S7 Edge is not really that much larger. I was expecting it look be bulky like a Note 5 but it appears significantly smaller than the Note. The next morning I canceled my S7 order and ordered the Edge. I received my Edge yesterday and I am glad I made the switch. Another benefit is the larger battery of the Edge. The reason I'm getting rid of my 5 month old S6 is because of poor battery life. If you haven't actually seen the phones side by side and are worried about the size of the Edge, go look at them and you may find that the Edge may not be that much bigger that would make it too big.

It's not a huge difference in size with the width in particular being very similar between the two but the S7 is still a fair bit shorter than the S7 edge. Also, the back of the S7 is more curved than the S7 edge, so for people with smaller hands it is a more comfortable fit. Both are great though!

So far I'm not regretting my S7 purchase. Would have been nice to have the longer battery life but the S7 seems to be doing great in that regard anyway so I'm happy :)

I don't think I could go with the regular after having both an iPhone six plus and a Samsung Galaxy S6 since may of last year. Every time I switch between my iPhone and S6 the screen feels so tiny. Especially when playing a game or watching videos. The only thing I worry about is will the edge distort pictures and videos. From what I saw in the demo model at my local shop this didn't seem to be the case
