Only thing holding me back is AOD and Camera. Otherwise, 7 PRO is so calling me.

Just came live with no AOD and a less steller camera than 3 XL.

anyone here switched to Pro 7 from Pixel 3 xl? Share your feedback please.

Not thinking about pixel 4 ?

Even if I am, I don't upgrade the instance they come out. I wait about 3 to 4 months and snatch used like new ones for much cheaper. Been doing that for years :)

Nothing wrong with that and great way to save few bucks .

I'm holding onto my Pixel 3 XL until the 4 comes out. I had the OPO7 Pro for a bit. The camera shortcomings, no AOD, and size caused me to send it back. It is a great phone though.

I had the Pixel 3XL and got so fed up with it being slow and generally not performing the way a $1000+ phone should IMO. So I swapped it for a Galaxy S10+ just to see what the other side was like. Turns out, it's ok, phone was slick but I really didn't like the software. Too many annoying popup options and nannying with the bluetooth volume and always trying to get me into the Samsung software suite or constantly running facebook garbage in the background. So after a few months I went to the 7 pro. I like the hardware, it's a big solid phone and I like that, no stupid notches or holes in the display is nice. The software is what I most enjoy, everything is fast and works smoothly and is the way I'm used to from the last 9 years of Pixel/Nexus phones. The camera isn't as good no, but overall it's a much better experience to use than I was having with the 3XL for me. I might go back to google for the 4 if they fix the software lagging issues, but I find I'm enjoying this phone much more overall.

Have both 6T and 3xl. I know what you mean with the software experience. It's amazing what OnePlus has done. So much better than pixel phones in that department. The 3xl is my daily driver because of AOD and Camera only. Both if these continue to be missing from 7 pro so I think I'll just stay put for now.

I jumped ship from the 3XL because they gave me $440 for it as a trade in, I love the 7 Pro enough to keep it until the pixel 4 XL comes out, I absolutely love the screen on this thing and the pop-up camera is genius. the speed is great and the software is phenomenal I definitely miss my pixel camera though, I did download the g cam but it's still not the same

I have both the 7 Pro and the 3 XL. I am debating which I will get rid of, as I also have a 2 XL. The 7 Pro is so smooth and the screen is gorgeous. The Pixels are smooth, but not quite as smooth as the 7 Pro. I miss the AOD, but I don't know if I miss it enough to stay with either Pixel though.

I'm also thinking about getting the 7 Pro. But like you mentioned...not having AOD and a so so camera is giving me pause. But the good news is all that can be fixed with software updates. The camera will never be as great as the Pixels but if they can get that AOD then hmmm I may just get it.

I switched from a 2XL and if I'm being honest I'm not super impressed. The camera on the 2 XL was better, and the OnePlus is INCREDIBLY heavy compared to the pixel. I also just like the design of my panda pixel more. While the OnePlus screen is definitely better, I never had any issues with my old phones screen.

So all that being said, if I had the 3XL, I really don't think I'd switch to the OnePlus 7 Pro.

I simply don't understand why OnePlus still doesn't have AOD. I mean come one, can't be that difficult or costly to implement.

I think it's a battery issue. They just don't wanna risk an additional drain, as their battery consumption is already quite high, especially on the op7 Pro, because of the 90Hz.

Albeit, this is just my assumption. Can't think of any other reason.
