Any "prep" to be done before picking up new phone?

Meaning is there anything I need to back-up or sync that I can do tonight so tomorrow I can transition to the new phone as quickly as possible?

I'm on Samsung S6, contacts are in Google. Gallery photos are on the phone as well as synced to Google photos.

Samsung smart switch shod do it all for you. It'll copy the stuff from old to new phone. Apps, messages, etc

Just double check your Google account in settings and make sure all the sync dates are today; that's about it.

When you sign in with your gmail account on the new phone that'll start loading your contacts too so that's handy.

No, I've never done that. Any additional benefits to doing that?
