Any reason to get this in the US, instead of the carrier versions?

you have to admit that the preprietory features writen into Touch Wiz are the real draw here!

No, I don't have to admit that at all. I would have bought the S4, except I was turned off by all the Samsung software features, which I consider bloatware. Those "preprietory features" actually convinced me not to buy the phone. Now that Google has fixed that: great hardware without all the bloatware, I'm in.

Well I was meaning if you started up a new month to month deal. Which is what I was thinking about doing and switching from Verizon to AT&T. If you're already in AT&T then you can swap your phone with your Nexus S4 and nothing will change.
Ahh yeah OK. There's no real incentive to "bring your own device" to AT&T, as they will make you sign a 2 year contract regardless. But it is becoming increasing obvious with each release that T-Mobile, and AT&T are the carriers to go with if you want a decent Android/Nexus device.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they have month to month deals. You definitely won't get unlimited data, though.

What?? AT&T will absolutely not make you sign a contract if you bring your own device.

ops I did misinform this thread that if you bring an unlocked S4 to ATT, they will make you sign a 2-year contract. They will not make you sign a contract, but their rates would not be reduced, and you're effectively still paying for phone subsidies.

sorry about this folks! :-!

I would have jumped on it IF they offered it in 32GB, yes it has the microSD but you still can't really install apps on the microSD and I prefer more internal storage. Still I would welcome the opportunity to flash the stock OS and see what it has to offer.
