Any reason to switch from Verizon Messages+ to Hangouts for SMS only?

I don't know a single person who uses Hangouts. Is the SMS portion of Hangouts worth it?

I think most of Verizon's apps are junk but I acutally use the Messages app. Install the app on your tablet and you can get your texts to you tablet as well. When you switch to a new phone, most of the messages will move too. Some of the other features are cool too, especially where you can send you location through Glympse.
