Any regrets choosing the G6 over the S8?

Nope. Don't like edge displays, and I like the feel of the G6. The S8 felt like plastic. Felt like it would creak if you twisted it.
I disagree with that, the S8 does not come close to feeling like plastic. I think S8 series and G6 both look and have great feeling. Probably just difference of opinion.

Definitely difference of opinions as the S8/S8+ feel SUPER premium just like the G6 feels SUPER premium.

Nope. While the S8 is a beautiful phone, so is the G6. Not to mention I was able to get an unlocked G6 with an LG watch and it was still cheaper than buying the S8 unlocked. I also prefer LG's cameras and camera interface over Samsung's.

All of that considered the G6 was a no-brainer for me.

Just to even things out, I think the curved screen is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I'm in the market for a new phone and this is the only reason I have hesitation on this phone in particular. What prevents certain apps from being moved to the SD card? Is it the app developer, the type of app, or what?
If I have to guess I say the app developers. From my experience most games can be moved to the SD card. Almost all Google apps cannot be moved off internal storage (makes sense Bec Google has said many times it doesn't like external storage). Besides Google the rest is hit or miss in terms of what can be moved to SD card

As an S8 owner, I gotta know why you feel that way if thats true. Is there some added benefit to you with the curved screen? I personally havent found a single reason, besides looks, to continue with curved screens.

I actually thought that same thing when I held one. It felt like plastic. I haven't seen anyone say that yet, so glad I am not the only one that thought that.

Root, I really thought we would have the bootloader unlocked and custom ROMs already. Other than that, I love the phone.

This is a joke right? The same materials are used for the S8 series and the G6. How could one feel like plastic and the other feel superior? That's obsurd.

I never said the other felt superior...
OK, then I can live with your opinion, don't agree with it, but we don't have to agree, LOL. I was scratching my head at how you could think one felt like plastic and one didn't.

I like the glass phones, but they are easier to break that's for sure.

I'm not even sure I like the looks.... not from the appearance perspective alone, but when you are looking at content on the phone, the edges tend to skew things.

The only way it would feel different is if they used a different type of coating which is doubtful.

The only reason I see for them is for aesthetics when viewing the device while its not in use. The edges on the 8 dont skew things like the s7 edge did and Im glad they toned the curve down alot, however, they dont serve a bit of purpose imo.

To date, Ive havent found anyone able to give me a reason for them, aside from aesthetics, that couldnt be achieved with a flat screen and I doubt I ever will.

Nope. I came from the S7 Edge and found the screen too narrow, especially for typing. The G6 is the perfect size. No regrets. Am glad to be back in the LG world!

Exactly my thoughts on viewing when not in use. I know the S8 isn't as bad as the S7 but I recall the S8 and Note 7 still bending things a bit if I recall correctly.

Soo happy with my G6 this year...i came from s7 edge and i had a faulty display amd was irritating that had to open up a new phone and may compromise water resistant feature...and display price is very expensive of s7 edge...i wanted flat screen dual camera and G6 fittes perfectly...Now lets see next year G7 vs S9 or maybe even htc u 12
