I have a Moto G 2021 with Android 11. Been fine for a couple of years. In recent weeks the battery has swollen and damaged the rear of the case. This seems to be a common problem that Motorola admits to. A bad battery they use in this phone would seem to be the subject of a recall. All I see is send it in and pay more for the service than the phone is worth. I don't have a lot of money. Motorola should spring for a new phone, but, you know, we live in a time of corporations can do whatever they want. Is there any way I can get them to take care of a faulty phone?

Unfortunately, no. If this is a common problem, as you say, your only recourse would be to join others in another class action lawsuit against the Beijing company. Unfortunately class action lawsuits give very little to those who were wronged and a whole lot to the lawyers litigating the class action. Therefore, your best course of action is to reluctantly learn from your mistake and buy your next phone from another, more reputable company.
