Any rumors on a 64gb Moto X (2014) being available anytime soon?

This isn't that big a deal to me, but if one were to be released a few months later I'd be willing to wait. Since there's no Micro SD Card slot expansion available, I'd rather future-proof myself with a 64gb phone instead of just a 32gb one. I mean I'd settle for the 32gb version, but still the more gig's the better.

You should probably wait. Since they have 64gb for the previous version, there is no reason why there won't be this time. The only thing I'm concerned about is how soon they will come out. They waited until the new X almost come out to come up with a 64gb version for the old one, but I don't think it will take that long this time.

The benefit of waiting is you get reviews and see how the battery life is, maybe the price will go down and there are other phones coming out like the Nexus.

Personally I'm preordering it as soon as the option become available.

I'd LOVE to buy a 64GB version of the Moto X, but if I have to wait almost a year for it to be available I will not wait. I plan on buying a 32GB model before Christmas and honestly 32GB is more than plenty for me. But 64GB would more future-proof this phone.

When you all say you want a phone that is "future-proof" does that mean you're planning on using it as your primary phone for more than two years?

2 years would be a good number for me, more than 2 is unfair as I like tech and it's a hobby for me.

Good lord. I haven't kept a phone for two years since before 2007. On average I keep them for about 3-4 months.

I predict a 64GB second generation Moto X will be announced alongside the second generation Moto E and/or the LTE variant of the second generation Moto G.

First warning. Be polite.

Ridiculous.

Everyone has a hobby. One of mine is phones. I almost always sell my previous phone after I get a new one. But if I have three at once, that's my deal. I'd hazard a guess that at least a quarter of the people here don't keep phones for two years. So what if I've had over 36 phones since 2008? Not impacting anyone but myself.

64gb will most likely be released.. When? I'm not sure
I'd consider it myself for future proofing, though I should do ok with 32gb.
My current phone is suicidal, I can't wait for the 64gb to come out.. Will be pre-ordering too.

I know this is a little OT, but imagine Motorola pulled the same stunt on us like apple is doing with the iPhone 6 and 6+, releasing only a 16gb and 64gb, eliminating the 32gb, that's crazy!
Unfortunately, some of their fans will convince themselves to believe apple's marketing tactics thinking it's for their own good, and not for apple's interest.

I'm the same way, I always want the new one :)

Same here, I always want the new one but wasn't thrilled with the S5, M8, and G3 and found Moto's active display is an awesome feature. You really do get used to not having to hit the power button with the active display lighting up when you pick it up, pull it out of my pocket, etc.

With that being said, as much as I want to buy this at release, I might wait to see what the new Nexus and Droids bring and by then maybe the 64gb option will be available.

I liked my M8 ok but grew tired of it quickly. Currently have the G3. Like it but I'm itching for the Moto X and the next nexus. Just sold my Nexus 5 recently.

I moved to the OPO about 2 months ago, but I gave it to my wife and reverted to my OG Moto X. Unbelievable... I hope I don't feel the same way about the new Moto X as I did about the OPO when I buy one, my wife will kill me.

Me too but I keep all mine so I can't afford all the phones I want! Lol, I still want a 2013 Moto X and I want the new Nexus unless it's over 5". I already have an OPO for the big phone experience.

I held on to my Blackberry Storm for as long as I could. It was the pinnacle of Blackberry awesomeness BITD. When that phone died, it took a piece of me with it.

I've had a couple good phones since then (Galaxy Nexus and Moto X), but none of them - with all the bells and whistles of the modern era kept in proper context - felt as good as that old phone.

I got incredible battery life - again, modern features need more power - and it was perfectly sized. I don't need to hold a legal pad to my head.

<-- Invented fire.

I don't have anything I've had for two years because I only just got into smart phones a year ago (well, 18 months). For the longest time I thought, that's for kids, I don't need that. Lol! Now I'm addicted. :D

We should have something more concrete as Motorola's blog states that preorders for the Pure Edition and the AT&T version of the X will start on the 16th at 11 am C.T.
