Any solid replacement for Nova Launcher?

I've tried a few and even paid for Smart Launcher but the lag between being in an app and the home screen appearing drives me nuts.

What phone are you currently using?

I've been a Nova Prime user for over 13 years and have no intention of changing unless or until it breaks.

I never updated from the last Branch version (v8.1.3), apart from when I accidentally hit 'Update' in the Store on a couple of occasions. I immediately deleted everything and sideloaded 8.1.3 back from APKMirror and as everything still works exactly as I want why would I change?

If things ever came to the worst and I had to change, then the only alternative for me at the time of writing would be Hyperion Launcher which is the nearest to Nova I've found.

Yup it's the phone maker as all these Chinese brands don't handle 3rd party launchers well and using the 3 button nav bar instead of gestures helps but I know most like the gestures as do I.

So which phones does it work with? I remember having the same issues when I had a S24U for a few months. At the end of the day I think I value the gestures over a different launcher.

I've been using Niagara on the Pixel which seems to handle the best and Samsung Fold 7 for me I've had no issue though there were some reports of OneUI 8.5 some mentioned they had a small delay, I'm on 8.5 beta and don't see any issue with going to home lag. Motorola reports have been good too. OnePlus does have a good home launcher which makes it easier to stay in stock. I left it mainly bc UWB of the OnePlus does not have it like my other phones with digital key unlocking and starting my SAV

And when you switch from being in an app to the home screen it's as quick as One UI does it?

I enrolled in the Nova Beta but can't seem to find Beta 8.5. Will it show up in the Play store? Or is there an apk for it?

Edit: nevermind. You're talking about One UI beta 8.5, not nova launcher 8.5. Lol

Too bad I'm on the Verizon S25U and can't enroll in the One UI beta 8.5.
