Any suggestions for a Free easy to use Tether App for Droid Razr Maxx ?

Any suggestions for a Free easy to use phone Tether App for to use to get an internet signal for a lap top ? -Droid Razr Maxx
I see that my phone has a tethering and mobile hotspot function, but it appears I have to pay for these.

I would appreciate if anyone could call out a few of the Free apps that are easy to use and effective. I will be using it for the occasional time that I can't use free wi-fi for a Dell laptop.

I am happy using a phone to computer USB cable or blue tooth.

My phone is the Mortorola Droid Razr Maxx, OS Android Version 4.1.2

Do you still have an old unlimited data plan, or are you on the newer Share Everything plan? If the former, then Foxfi is a good choice as mentioned above, especially since it doesn't require rooting. If the latter, then there is no need for FoxFi, because you can use the phone's built-in tethering for free (Verizon lets you use it free with Share Everything because it's the data you're paying for).

B. Diddy ..... yes I still have the old unlimited data plan. Verizon has been trying to get me to change it, but I haven't. There are several free tether apps.... are they not as good as the paid apps, like Foxfi ?

I can't answer that for you--before I switched to Share Everything, the only tether app I tried was FoxFi, which worked well enough that I paid for the full version. Many of the other tether apps require root, so make sure you read the description carefully before you try one.

I use foxfi daily for up to 10 hours with my nexus 7 at work. I can vouch it is an incredible app, but the new version requires you to set a lock screen since it sets up a vpn.

I am also on unlimited data, and unless i am forced, i will not change. The share everything plans would only be good if they came with free ky.

Foxfi is the easiest way. If Foxfi doesn't work and you are rooted then google: razr entitlement hack
