I noticed that Tapatalk is using alot sensor usage for some reason on my s10+. Please see attached screen shot. Did this occur after the last update ? If so, why would it even require usage of those two sensors? Thanks.

Those sensors monitor the motion of your phone and are used for several things. Many apps, like Tapatalk, use them to pin your location and share that info for a profit.

Tapatalk never used it before until recently. Another app using unnecessary resources.

The discussion about Tapatalk sharing your location to third party companies has been around for a while. IIRC it all started with the iOS app, not sure when it started on Android. "Relevant" ads targeting they call it.

I just checked my location settings and the apps that are requesting location information , attached screen shot.
Tapatalk according to my first posted images is using gyro and accelerometer. Screenshot_20190504-172929_Settings.jpg

Tapatalk is ridiculous. Check out my gsam sensor times used Tapatalk spyware. Sigh a garbage app which can do what they can do, due to no competition. You hear the word, no competition? Merica....smh
