Any travel issues on Amtrak carrying a Note 7?

I know Airlines are cracking down on Note 7's, but has anyone traveled on Amtrak lately and had any issues?
I'm planning to hold on to my N7 till at least the end of the month since I have no backup and I want to check out the new V20 and Google Pixel when they come out in the next week or 2, but I need to do a biz trip this week via train and don't want to have issues...

Don't do it! Safety first!

They won't be checking when you board, but it's a relatively good chance that a conductor will ask you if they see it. I believe they have the right to refuse you service...it'd suck to be stuck between your starting point and destination.

My wife just flew back from Nebraska. There was messages about the Note 7, but no one actually checked phones when boarding.

She replaced her phone while she was out there once the full ban was put into effect.

Amtrak's current statement is that they can be on the trains, but that they should never be powered up or charged on board. However, this statement is about a month old and I have to imagine they will be updating it in the very near future.

I'm gonna bring my iPad as a backup in case I'm forced to shut down my N7. Hopefully it won't be an issue...
Guess I'll have to get a new phone before my next biz trip in early November and definitely before my next plane trip in Dec
