Any trick to getting the google now cards to show up at will rather than at random?

Any trick to getting the google now cards to show up at will rather than at random. Mine seem to show up only when I am using another app. Kind of wierd. Was cool when I got the gametime and later the final score for the last Cavalier's game. Any voice command like navigate that gives you the google now cards?

I was wondering the same thing. Was hoping for a way to hide the cards without dismissing them or snooze them amd open later.

I think that since Google Now is part of Google Search the active version is to do a voice search for what you want.
