@felloffthetruck---NOT TRUE. It has been reported initially that Verizon & Sprint were selling the Note 7 on 'a first come, first serve basis'--which included replacements for the recall...However, most carriers(specifically T-Mobile) are not selling the Note 7 to new-buys, opting to reserves the phones that they do have on hand or in stock to customers who bought the device before the recall began as replacements.

I was able to do a pre-order from Best Buy today. When I asked why, they said it made it easier to take care of customers this way until they're fully stocked. They said they just got the green light from Samsung last night. But you have to physically go into the store to get this done.
Thanks for mentioning this. Had checked with local ATT store on Friday & they just shrugged their shoulders as to when it would be available.

I read somewhere that Samsung may do a formal "re-introduction" on October 21st, but that may have applied to a market other than USA.
