Poking around in my new phone, I discovered a bunch of apps listed that are not installed. In fact, they were never installed; these are from a previous phone. In the screenshot below, only one of the apps is actually installed, the rest were carried over (I guess) from when I did the migration to this one. Either that, or maybe because I did not log out of Google before factory resetting the old phone?

You might be able to clear them out by clearing the app cache/data for the Settings, Settings Services, or Settings Storage app in Settings>Apps (you'd have to tap the menu button and select Show System to see them). But this could cause hassles with having to readjust your other system settings back to your liking.

I had the same thought about hassles down the road, so I only cleared cache, which didn't help. I found a partial solution - install the app, grant it permissions, then uninstall. That seems to remove it. Problem is, not all the apps are compatible with my new phone.
