Any way to change sort artist name like in iTunes?

I recently switched from Apple to Android. I'm using the default music app. I noticed that bands starting with "the" appear with artists starting with "t". In iTunes, there was an option to change the "sort artist name" so that an artist like The Beatles would appear alongside other bands starting with "b", rather than "t". Is there any way I can do this on Android?

Welcome to Android Central! The Google Play Music app will sort the artists correctly. You can also try other 3rd party music apps like PowerAmp. Stock music players can sometimes be a bit bare feature-wise.
