Hello

Just bought a car cradle and tried it out this morning. Is there any way to change the background from white to black when on the google music now playing screen. I like to see the album art and song etc but don't like the white background panels staring me in the face. I am on 4.4 and HTC sense 5.5.

Thanks

I'm not sure about that but there are SO many music players with that option that you may want to consider upgrading to something more feature filled:

I use Rocket Player and it works great and offers several free themes, both light and dark, for your viewing pleasure. Not the solution you sought but not a bad work-around either.

Thanks for the replies. I use the Google player because all my music is in the Google cloud. I assume I can only use Google player to listen to it?

I think your correct! If not I'd like to know another way around it! There are many more other nice players out there. I have bought a few.

i dont understand the google music player, or what it is supposed to do beyond playing music just like any other music app out there.

Well... You can stream from their service if you subscribe... But...

If you don't you can put your music on the cloud (for free).. Upload it all to your Google account. You can then store it on your device or stream it from the cloud. So the difference? Much more music to your phone due to cloud storage... But you can also store it to the phone.

Thanks for all your excellent advice. Trying the trial of power amp and it's great you can just add m4a or play them straight off Google drive

I don't have a Google Music subscription so I use the Sense music player which I think is great. A week ago I gave Shuttle+ a try and bought it because of its features, interface and performance. It has different light and dark themes and the overall look of the app is very nice.

Give it a try as well if you want. I will try the updated interface in the Sense 5.5 player (the KitKat rollout to dev/unlocked started today) but Shuttle+ has become my default music player.

You can use double twist. It sees your Google music files after you cache your songs. I use it because of the podcast feature.
