Any way to disable Peek (HeadsUp) Notifications on the V20?

Is this a Nougat thing? Or did LG miss that option? I remember I did have the option (per app, no global switch, but at least there was a way) to disable the F*@&%&^! heads up notification on both the S7 Edge and the Note 7, so imagine my surprise when I got the V20 and now can't do that.

But since the Sammy phones are still on Marshmallow, I don't know if it's an OS thing (if it is, WTF Google??!!) or an LG oversight.

Anyone know how to get rid of them? Really, REALLY, REAAAAAAALLY hate them.

Hey Spook! If you go to Settings>Apps and select an app, do you see the notification importance slider? If so, what if you turn off the Automatic setting and decrease the importance so that peeks aren't allowed?

When you get a notification, just hold it down with a long press. Up come the options for that particular app.

Nope. Only Block, Show Silently (which would work if it didn't also kill sound/vibration), On the lock screen (for content to be shown), and Priority (just a toggle, to allow the app to show in DND mode or not).

Sad. Sad sad sad.

Is it like this on all Nougat phones? Or just an LG thing?

Yeah, but no option to just 'kill' peek notifications. The only option I'm seeing is to kill all notifications from the app, or to allow the notification to come through but with no sound, vibration or peeking. On the aforementioned phones with Marshmallow I could disable peeking (heads up) without having to kill sound/vibration.

Try this app. It worked great on the G4 when it got heads up notifications on M, but I don't think it worked on the V20 when I tried. Maybe someone else will have better luck?

I'll give it a try, but it didn't work for me on my devices post-Marshmallow update (and the note is there on the app, too!). Something about Google disabling the global switch after Marshmallow. Doubt they put it back in for Nougat hehe, but worth a try, I guess.

UPDATE: Nope. Didn't work :(

One of the options on the slider is "No full screen interruption or peeking." That seems to be the closest to what you're asking about.
