any way to know if i received refurbished device?

Is there any way within software to see if I received a refurbished phone? -- total on time counters that dont reset with a refurb or anything like that?

They probably can reset the counters is my guess.
If it's unmarred, looks perfectly new and runs that way... sit back and enjoy it. No worries.

we bought two. One was obviously fine the other was weird. Didnt have the plastic on back of phone. Also seal looked sealed but further checking after we thought something was up, it was not very sticky to box.
Probably doesnt matter, appears to work OK, but wanted to be sure its new, especially since spending almost $1000 on it.

If missing any of the factory protective plastic it's been opened. Yeah, I feel you.
I would return it. Fair is fair.

I'm not happy with that merchant at all. Stopped using them altogether.

might well be someone just decided they didn't like the feel of it and returned it. Just means Best buy screwed up and didn't bother to disclose what had happened.

Personally, over the years, I've saved a lot of money buying phones like that. They are essentially brand new. Of course, you're supposed to get a discount.
