Any way to merge redundant group texts?

I have two group text threads in my messaging app that both have the same three recipients, myself, my wife and my niece.

This is obviously redundant and I would like to merge these two groups text threads together into one but I can't seem to find a way to do this.

Any advice? If it matters I'm using Google Messenger on a galaxy S10+.

I found the problem. One of the group texts has my wife's email as a recipient, the other has her cell number. Duh.

So they weren't actually redundant, the one with the email address wasn't set up correctly.
