Any way to save an Email as a "Draft"?

For the first time today, I noticed that if you accidentally push the home or back buttons while composing an email, you lose it.
This seems a little ridiculous, unless I am missing something and the email is saved somewhere?

Shouldnt there be a prompt of some sort that lets you know you are going to erase the currently composed email, before going into another screen?

Asking the obvious, but have you checked in the Drafts folder itself to check if it has been automatically saved?

Agreed it?s pretty stupid if it doesn?t and no such annoyances with the Gmail app: hitting back or home automatically saves the email and notifies you of this as well. A quick Google indicates that there is a ?Save? option in the Menu to save your email as a draft

What app are you using? On G-Mail there was a pop-up that told me it was saved as a draft automatically.

As indicated I use Gmail.

I don't own a One but I was a little curious about what you reported which prompted me to have a little Google which brought up where the save to draft function is. I just wondered if you had checked if those emails had in fact been saved to drafts, that's all (not suggesting that you don't know what you're doing, just that I personally so often miss the obvious!!)

Feeling a bit foolish right now...never thought to check the draft folder because it never said it was "saving to draft".
Ok, no worries, the drafts are there.

FYI-I am using Microsoft Exchange for this particular account.
