Any way to stop "car mode" from altering/stretching my wallpaper?

Anytime my phone goes into "car mode" (not the "driving mode" that is selectable under the notifications bar) my wallpaper is altered. I have an iBolt dock for my GS3. It turns on car mode on the phone making everything work in landscape mode. If I had a pic from my gallery in landscape view set as my wallpaper so that the full picture is in view, after going into car mode the pic is enlarged and zoomed in on so it fills the screen. Is there a way to stop this. I regularly use CarHome Ultra which is an awesome car mode app but either way the wallpaper still stretches to fit the screen every time. When I exit car mode, everything goes back to normal, but the wallpaper is still stretched out. Any way around this???

Mine doesn't do that. It centers the wallpaper pic. Strange. I'm using the same phone and dock.

Hmm. Interesting. So if you go to your gallery, select a pic that is in landscape format (side to side not the up and down "portrait" format) and "set as" wallpaper and make it so that the entire pic fits on ONE screen leaving black space above and below it (this is done by selecting the "custom mode" selection under the wallpaper settings (uncheck scrollable)...and then launch car mode by docking it in the iBolt, when you come out of carmode, the pic is still there unchanged with black space above and below it?

Do you use CarHome Ultra? Or do you just let your GS3 go to the regular car mode with S Voice, etc.?

The interesting thing is this used to happen to me with my HTC Thunderbolt in my car and I didn't have the iBolt so I know its not that. I did use Car Home Ultra then too so maybe its that although I wrote the developer and he said it's not the app, its "car mode". Hmmm.
