Any way to store videos that don't get mixed into other video lists?

I have a few hundred videos in my new Samsung S22 ultra, and I created a special directory for tutorials. I don't know how to separate out the tutorials from the long list of music videos, and it takes forever to get to a particular type of video. Any way to keep these separate to make access easier? Sorry, this is a first world problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Which video player or gallery app are you using to view the list of videos? Is it the stock Samsung player?

The standard gallery app did the same with photos and videos, then I discovered the Google photo app. That separated camera photos from the rest, but I didn't have a solution for the videos. Your comment made me look at the other video player, and low and behold, there are my directories with the tutorials un-mixed from the rest! THANK YOU FOR THE HINT!

Now if I can get the TikTok installer removed from this phone I will be set!! : )

Glad you found a solution!

Is the TikTok installer preinstalled? If so, you could try Package Disabler Pro

No, it's not installed. But the xplayer adds an install page for TikTok prior to viewing, or sometimes in the middle of my videos; kinda' annoying AF.

Thanks for your replies!

That sounds more like a pop-up ad. Probably not much you can do about that, unless Xplayer has a paid version that gets rid of ads.

To "hide" the tutorials from all of the gallery type apps place an empty text file named ".nomedia" in that folder and they won't display any longer, or you could rename the folder that contains these files and place a period (.) as the first character of the folders name, now if you choose this method then the folder becomes hidden and will not show up in a file management app unless you set them to display hidden files.
