Any way to theme notifications in Nougat?

My wife's AT&T S7 just got Nougat and she hates the lightness and lack of contrast of the notification shade. I've tried some theses from the theme store and while some will theme the quick access buttons in the shade, none seem to theme the notificaitons themselves.

Any suggestions? She's not interested in trying a new launcher, so any suggesitons would have to work with the OEM launcher.

Only Good Lock is able to change the actual notifications. There has not been an update to Good Lock for Nougat yet though.

Bummer. Hoping for something to give a little visual definition to the notifcation area.
