Any Way To Turn Off The Tides Thingy?

Is there any way to turn off / get rid of that tides thingy? I'm in Ohio where it is totally and completely useless. It's just eating up screen space and possibly system resources. I would even be happy with replacing it with a similar sized version of the sun/moon tool which would do me more good.

Pretty simple fix. Place your finger on the screen over the tide widget. When you see the trash can at the bottom of the screen slide the tide widget to the trash can and it's gone.
