Any word on when we can expect android 10?

They should kick off beta in October/November and roll out late December/January from what I seen in past

Not much of a "beta" if they release after the first one. Either they're pretty confident, or they just want to get something out fast. (Or look more like Google and have "beta" versions that aren't really tests.)

Google went through many months of beta testing (6 versions, as I recall), and there are still residual bugs in the final release. (Some of them in the AOSP, which the other manufacturers get - and will have to patch after Google patches them.)

Yeah, pretty much Google already did the base Android 10 testing , it's now how Samsung skin and Carrier flare work with it that they testing . Usually it 5 to 7 beta you'll go through before releasing .

I'm in absolutely no hurry at all for Android 10. My N10+ is running perfect. You will notice nothing different other than the bugs or features Google messed up. I only look forward to any new improvements to OneUi

Yeah, probably most of the "beta" will be for One UI - 2.0 and it's integration with android 10.

I had just updated my Pixel 2 to Android 10 and, for me, if there was only one reason to upgrade, it's the new security settings that allow you to specifically block apps from getting access to your data. This has been the one thing I've waited for in Android for years. My N10 is mostly running great too, but I really want this feature.
