Any word when Note 9 gets next version update?

Which app controls the notification bar? Lol.

In all seriousness, it's notifications in general are no longer displaying in the notification bar. Texts, emails, Weatherbug's live temp, etc are not displaying. Pulling the bar down does show them, but that's not useful as an alert. Notification sounds do play, but she usually needs them silent and relies on the visual alert.

Well can go to settings >notifications >status bar enable all and make sure show notifications on the toggle .otherwise long press empty space on home screen >home screen settings >tap app icon badges should look like my screenshot

That was the issue, thanks! They got reset somehow during the update, and I didn't even know Samsung had that option. I'll let you know when she finds the next update related problem (there's usually 2-3 with every update, which she never wants and is forced on her anyway).

I was looking for a thread where I could voice my displeasure at not yet getting the January security patch. It seems I should be patient and thankful since I've been on Android 10 on my Note 9 since the 11th of this month. Unlocked Exynos.

Not so. My and the wife's Verizon Note 9s are still running Android 8.1 / Oreo, because I disable the update apps.
The xda forum will give you the tips to accomplish.

Someone on here said their wife's Verizon Note 9 got the update. Can't remember who.

I'm patiently waiting for 10 on Verizon, hopefully there are no bugs. 9 is running fine on my Note 9.

It was available in January, in India, Germany, West Africa and Australia. There may be others. I have not seen anyone report its arrival in the US. I've read nothing about country specific timeline, from any reliable source. I believe the US is usually only ahead of Canada.
