Anybody around Baton Rouge? Want to root me?

I rooted my wife's Eris and installed a cleaner rom to kill the issues she had after the 2.1 update and now she has wireless tether and I don't. I downloaded a froyo rom and want to install it but I keep having issues. Let me know if anyone is nearby.

Huh....

#1. Download the Android SDK.
-Make sure you select the driver package during installation.

#2. Download the unRevoked one click root.

#3. Put your phone into USB debugging mode.
-Menu --> Applications --> Development

#4. Plug in your phone and open unRevoked. Once the phone reboots into recovery you are rooted. Restart your phone.

Then follow one of the MANY how-to's on how to install a 2.x radio and flashing a ROM, which I may add is in the Hacks/ROMs sub forum in here.......if you can't follow step by step and get it accomplished you don't need to root and rom yet because all you will end up doing is bricking your phone. READ and UNDERSTAND what you are doing before you brick your phone!!!

...and don't forget to remove HTC Sync from your computer if it is installed.
