Anybody else downsize to a Pixel from a big phone?

Went from a Galaxy Note 4 to the 5" pixel. I like the smaller size more since it fits in my pocket better.

Yep, I went from a Nexus 6P to the Pixel. For me though it was not a downgrade or a compromise, it was something that was a long time coming. I have always been a fan of pure Google devices and while I have nothing but good things to say about my 6P, it was just too large. For a long time now I have been frustrated by the lack of a smaller pure android phone that isn't a performance compromise. Honestly overall I was very happy with my 6P and ready to keep it for another year. If the Pixel had only come in the XL size I probably wouldn't have even considered buying it. But the fact that it was available as smaller phone was the one spec that tipped it over the edge and made it a must buy for me.

So far I couldn't be happier with my decision. I can easily see this being the start of a long relationship with this phone. I give it at least 18 months barring anything unfortunate happening between now and then. Which is fairly unprecedented for me someone who averages around 8 months or so between upgrades. In fact I had my 6P for just over a year which is the longest I have held onto one phone in a long time. But I just can't imagine a phone coming out anytime soon that is going to be able to offer me a compelling reason to upgrade from the Pixel.

Same here. Love my 6P except for the size. Ecstatic wit the Pixel.

I have had larger phones for years now. Just recently I had the Note 7, V20, 7 plus and others. I couldnt find a XL either so I settled for the 32 GB pixel to test it out until I found the XL. After using the Pixel I found it to be a great size. I returned the 32gb one and got the 128gb pixel instead. I love it so far.

I was using the S7 Edge before getting the regular Pixel. Still not sure about the smaller size but I'm trying to adapt. I do have the XL now and while I like the screen size better, I prefer the compact size of the Pixel. Still not ready to give up the XL yet.

I understand. If I would have found the XL I would have most likely not tried the regular pixel. And thus not known how much I liked it. I guess it's a happy accident.

Glad you are loving it!

Interestingly after I posted I checked google and XLs are in stock now! Lol

I also settled for pixel because store was out of XL stock. I came from droid turbo 2 (5.5"). I'm happy with my decision. I've adapted to the smaller display and don't really miss the extra size.

Is battery life on the Pixel as good as on the Turbo 2?

Made the decision today to give up the XL and stay with the Pixel. Both are great phones but I prefer the portability of the Pixel. Hate to lose the extra screen size. They are both excellent phones.

It's definitely a tug of war between screen size and portability. I went for portability this time, but I definitely get what you're saying - it's a shame to lose the extra screen space. :(

Merry Christmas! :)

Totally agree. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Came from Nexus 6. Went for the pixel non XL due to Google store not having the XL. That's the only reason why wanted the XL but didn't want to wait.

Thought I would miss the larger screen but I don't.

Love the smaller size.
