Anybody get the 4.4.3 update yet?

Not sure. Maybe the app optimization doesn't necessarily clear out any of the old temporary data stored in the system cache.

What I do know is that after the update and then wiping the cache partition, my standby battery life has been improved so far. I'll see if that persists.

Well, looks like mine is whacked. I am back to losing 25% of the battery in 9 hours of standby with ZERO screen "on" time (instead of 3 to 5%). It reports 56% "Android OS", 15% "Google Services", and other 30% in various little stuff. I am going to try clearing the cache partition now :(

I got it the day after it was released, and then my microphone packed up. It will work in speakerphone on the dialler, but otherwise it's dead. Thinking software, and have done factory reset to no avail.

Gah. Try rebooting first? That's usually what I do first if I see the OS or System working overtime.

I hope they didn't pull the update :-/

Oh, I doubt that. It has probably been going on far too long now for that. Plus, I believe this release was aborted at least once before, months ago (during testing), so it has probably seen a LOT of work to make sure it is right this time.

I don't have the 4.4.3 update yet on two Nexus 5 phones :|

Wife got it several days ago along with another mate of mine, both have N5's

Here's the funny thing. My parents moto it's (both of them) got the 4.4.3 update and my nexus 7 2013 got the update too.

Only my nexus 5 on Tmobile is missing the party.

I don't think its due to the carrier. I live in New Zealand, one Nexus 5 is on Vodafone and the other has no sim card in it

We're just unlucky it seems :/

Got it on both my N5 and N10 yesterday. Battery life seems a bit worse so far but will give it some time.

Seriously, for those who still don't have it, take 10 minutes to figure out sideloading and just install it yourself... You'll be glad you did. It's a tiny but useful skill.

I think that's related to the Search App rather than the 4.4.3 update. Either way, it's definitely something that needs to be fixed.

I had to reference our PM exchange again to sideload 4.4.3. It was a success.

Didn't know it was out. Did the sideload to keep root, but it appears to not have worked (got an error about books.apk).

I'll fight with it again later.

Makes use SU is installed. You make need to run it for root (it should tell you that).
