Anybody having buyer's remorse?

Didn't it used to be an expensive monthly fee? Maybe vzw charges extra? I looked into it years ago.
They can't charge you a monthly fee to port your number to Google voice. You'd have to pay off any devices on your line first then you add a line, port your current one to Google voice and it will fall off your VZW account in a couple days.

Then both would ring simultaneously? I could answer 1 or both of them at once?

Both phones would get VZW features and updates?

Sorry, last ot question.

You could forward the Google voice number to any phone you want. I have my office number routed to Google voice after 5 rings. At that point it rings 4 different employee phones until someone picks up. Obviously you would either need each phone to have a sim card or possibly use wifi but they will all ring. Digits will work a bit better since you get a sim card for each device but they use one number. At least that's how I was explained digits will work.

Saw your edit. If both phones had a VZW sim card then they would get the VZW features that phone was given. For instance I use Google voice on my T-Mobile G6 and my Google voice number gets hd calling.

Hmmm, trying to decide on the G6 vs the S8. Like the bigger battery, flat screen, FPS location, and chamfered edges of the G6 but like the newer processor and higher RAM of the S8 and dislike the S8 curved display and FPS location. Can't decide. Help please.

Same amount of ram, different storage.

Personal choice really. Can you live with the curved screen and lack of available protection or would you rather have a flat screen and tons of screen protection options? I think with the processor in the S8 battery will be very comparable between the 2 devices.

That's something that only you can decide. My 2 cents, wait until they are both in store and do some side by side comparisons to see what works best for you.

My preference is LG because I like how they perform vs Samsung. Having owned the S7 Edge and Note 7 I can say that you will probably get used to the edge display pretty quick. The edge on the Note 7 was much less pronounced and easier to deal with than the S7E and the S8 screen bend is very similar to the Note. I got a lot of use out of the "Edge software" right to left swipe for app and contact shortcuts.

As far as the 835, it's too early to say if it will really bring any real world noticeable performance differences, and if it does, will it be masked by Samsung's heavy coat of paint?

The G6 performs really really well. It's a little quicker in some things than the V20, but nothing earth shattering. Most importantly to me, I've experienced absolute zero lag. That's not exaggeration, I've had no lag so far. Granted it's only been in my hands a week, but I've never had a completely lag free experience on an Android phone for any notable length of time. Of course the caveat as always is......YMMV :)

While my experience has been really positive, there have been some reports about camera focus issues when capturing moving objects on the G6. Again, I haven't experienced that issue and several others have stated the same, but it's something a few folks have been having trouble with. You can read more about that here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...hots-show-us-your-pictures-5.html#post5732656

Is the S8 a nice phone? From what I've seen so far it absolutely is and I'm sure you would enjoy it, but then again, so is the G6. It's my opinion that you won't go wrong with either one. They both have a lot to offer.

Thanks! I went with the LG G6. I had a Note 7 and and S7E and didn't care for the edge. The lag in TW is real as time goes by and apps are added so I would always work hard to mitigate it so this time I'm going to try the G6 and if I don't like it I can always jump to the S8. Thanks again for the input.

I'm not finding the camera very impressive. Everything else is positively lovely. The form factor is perfect and I love the performance. I'm coming from a pixel so I know performance, and the g6 has it. But the camera...😒

So odd a few people have camera issues, some don't. This side by side test has the G6 and Pixel about equal in camera performance except in almost total darkness.

Yeah, any movement in the frame and everything becomes slightly blurry. It doesn't even have to be super low light, just any light that isn't completely bright. I think mine is going to be returned. Damn shame.

Fortunately I don't take alot of low light images so for now it's not bugging me too much. The other issue is there isn't another phone on the market that I like more than the G6 and I've pretty much tried them all at this point. I'm sure the Note 8 will have a great camera so I'm going to hold on to the G6 and hope for an update.

Exactly the reason I returned mine after less than 24 hours.
