Anybody having trouble rooting Evo Shift

You'll need to be a little bit more specific, Where are you having issues? Are you currently running Gingerbread or Froyo?

I am having some trouble myself on gingerbread, but this is my first time trying to root.

The root process your trying is not going to work if your running Gingerbread. Your going to have to wait until a new root exploit is found.
