Anybody here actually bought a white phone?

I'm curious seeing that so many people bought a black phone versus white due to the plastic back cover of the white phone. I wonder if this will make Samsung ship out rubbery white back cover later on?

I purchased the white from tmo the day it came out and the first two days I was worried about the feel of the white back, but now since I've had it a few days now the, it seems the natural oils from my finger tips had added some type of texture to it. It doesn't feel to much like plastic anymore and my hands no longer slides of, it now has more grip to it. I hope I'm making since here....

I'm a big fan of white phones in general but i went with the black Note 3 this time around b/c the black one looked more classy and luxurious than the white one. And the back of the black one feels like leather whereas the white one feels like textured hard plastic. It's not as slippery and slimy as the Note 2 but there is a big difference between the black and white Note 3. For those who cant feel the difference, your textile feel on your fingertips must be dull/below-average.

I got a white one on Sunday. I decided to ditch Verizon for various reasons, but one of the final ones was how they let you surf while talking on the phone, whereas Verizon doesn't.

I've always preferred black phones. My iPhone 4S was black. I just couldn't get into a white one (my then-wife got hers in white). But this time, looking at the two Note 3's, I just liked the white better. I really liked the cross-hatch pattern on the front. The back is irrelevant since it's going in a case. I ordered that Samsung SUPCASE from Amazon... unfortunately it's coming from South Carolina, so it won't be here til next week. Grrr. I hope I can keep from dropping it til then. But I got the one that is gray on the sides and white on the back, so it should make for a nice contrast.

As for the feel of the back, it's fine, I don't much care. It looks like white vinyl or something.

You can talk and use data at the same time on Verizon's LTE phones (if you are in an LTE service area), with the exception of the iPhone 5. I think that the iPhone 5S/C won't allow for it either, but can't remember.

I think you're right about over time the white cover gets some kind a "grippness" with the oils or grim from your hands.
I think Samsung made the white cover without any kind of rubber texture for that reason.... won't get dirty or grimy.

I am really interested in seeing a picture of the white note with a black back cover - can you post a photo ????

I've always been able to talk & surf in 3G also on Verizon with all android phones!

Cheers, Jon
