Anybody NOT using screen protector?

Always used screen protectors until I got my S7edge. Really like the glass feeling and the colors do look brighter. Have a dedicated pocket I keep it in. Have used Whoosh to clean the screen since I got it and it does a great job!

I hate them, and I have never used one. I have never had even a single scratch. I just sold my one year old 6p, and not even one scratch. I hate a smudged screen, so I keep a small microfiber cloth in my pocket, and wipe it off several time per day. Once in a while, I use a screen cleaner like Screen Guard.

Any particular brand/type you'd suggest.

I buy these once a year or so. I used them for my tablet and phones and glasses. Hold up great and work perfect. I normally buy the 12 pack and keep a cloth in my truck, car, backpack, work desk, wallet, friend's house etc. Hate fingerprints on glass so i seem to always have them.

So you have an S7e with no screen protector and the screen is still w/out flaw? I have an Otterberbox Alpha Glass on mine and
1. It does impact sensitivity along the "edge"
2. The sides are raised of the screen just enough for a few specs of dust to sneak under the screen.

I'd love to take it off and I do keep it in a special pocket in my purse but I'm just nervous about not having a screen protector. If there was even the lightest of scratches I'd be pretty upset. 1st world problems, I know.

I've got 2 Pixels without screen protectors - only time I have ever gone with naked screens - be brave - you can do it - :D

I would like to use a screen protector... For the glass panel on the back. Haven't used a screen protector in years.

I haven't used a screen protector since I began using BlackBerrys in the earlier part of this century (umm, model 7200 was my first I think). Then Samsung S2 then Nexus 5, as of this week Pixel XL. Have never had a single scratch on a glass screen. Looking at my 28 month old Nexus 5 now and there really is not even the finest visible mark on the screen to be found, in oblique or direct lighting.

Having a more-or-less dedicated pocket in my trousers has helped I suppose.

I much prefer the feel of the gorilla glass, and the freedom from any loss in viewing quality.

Well, I'm convinced. No screen protector for me. I think I'll pick up some microfiber cloths, Thanks for that link earlier!
My biggest concern was fingerprints, but it seems the cloth will handle that. And I never really was into the feel of having a screen protector on my phone so that's another plus right there as this screen feels nice and smooth.

I don't like risking my device. I won't drop much but something to protect it from scratches is important for me.

I don't use screen protectors for my devices anymore. I think there screen protectors makes the phone ugly. And they never fit perfectly. I can airways find something wrong with the install. I'm better off without them and it's a lot cheaper to not have one.

My children have an iPad mini that just has a case but no screen protector. They have had it for about two years now and it has never shattered and actually does not look scratched up too much at all. It had the micro scratches but that's all. You can only see them at certain angles. And my kids drop their iPad ask the time. They spill drinks on it. I have to clean sticky food residue from it all the time. So, if an iPad cab survive then day in and day out without a screen protector, then I can get along without one on my phone.

No screen protector here. I have a very slight scratch near my front facing camera now. It's enough to catch your finger nail but hardly noticeable

JFC, anyone else getting an error where whenever they try to edit a post and tap anywhere on screen it'll hit the delete button instead? It's starting to get really irksome... Repost:

Fingerprints are easy enough to wipe off, I dunno if screen protectors help with the heavier oil from people that put their phone up against their face a lot etc (my mother's Moto always looks disgusting, sorry mom)... I haven't used one in like 5 years.

I had one on my EVO, none on the 2 phones after that nor my Nexus 5... Screen protectors are a lot like lens filters for camera lenses; unless you spend a lot of time at the beach, near construction, or another similar environment with fine grained particles you probably don't need one.

It's those fine particles that are MUCH more likely to scratch your phone than something like keys or an errant hit by whatever (not that I'd advise slipping it into the same pocket as keys, but still).

I've dropped my Nexus 5 plenty towards the end of it's life and the TPU case always kept the screen far enough away from any surface contact that could scratch it.

I keep mine in my purse as well, BUT I always wear earrings and that has definitely hairline scratched the top of my screen when I'm on calls. Do I just not wear earrings lol. I put on a bodyguardz HD contour on my s7 edge. It is the best option for the edge but it's a fingerprint magnet which I'm debating on ripping it off.

Phooey. You're right of course. My earrings haven't seemed to leave any visible scratches on my screen protectors but I'm sure that as soon as I take a screen protector off I'll get scratched screens. ...just because I care.

Huh, never thought about that scenario as a guy (who's never had an earring)... Pretty obvious case for a screen protector. I don't talk on the phone much, so I mostly avoid putting it up to my face to avoid the sweat/oil smearing (I imagine makeup is also a factor for some)...

I use the speaker a lot, or Bluetooth/headphones for longer calls.
