Anybody recommend a good wireless charger?

Does the pad need to be plugged in to charge the phone? what's the point then?

You mean do you need to plug in the cable for the charger to work? I'm assuming that's your question. Yes it needs the cable to be plugged in otherwise it won't get any power. The point was to make it easier to charge without you having to look for usb hole to plug it in. Some wireless chargers are more easy to use then the official one from Samsung.

You can buy onew from Amazon but you get what you pay for, the best bet is to buy the original Samsung charger for the Samsung Galaxy 6 edge trust me ,the generics don't work nearly as well this one is the only one that really works well

My experience has been the opposite, actually. In fact, of the different wireless chargers I've tried, the Samsung charger is actually the worst of them. The Samsung cuts off once the phone gets to 100%, so if you leave it on the charger overnight, and it gets to 100% shortly after you go to sleep, you wake up several hours later with a phone that only has 80-90% charge left. That's not just mine...plenty of other posts on the forum documenting this issue with the Samsung charger. All the rest of the chargers I have from either ebay or Amazon, all continue to charge and maintain 100% once fully charged.

I am looking at the Tilt wireless charger, the Galaxy S6 charger with its always on light is a no for me.

Is that the official Samsung charger? If so does it stop charging once it is fully charged? I keep reading it will stop charging once it gets to 100% I am looking for a charger I can use at night and not have to worry about it not being fully charged in the morning

Picked up the Itian Qi Wireless from Amazon for $11. Great price and, while it has only been a couple of days, it seems to be working great. Very happy with it, especially at that price!

someone could direct me to a good qi charger for Samsung Galaxy s6 to leave the cell Standing so I can see him and do not be slow?I thought of Itaim, but saw not recommend here, it would be good because it has nput voltsge: DC 5V 2A, now do not know what to pick up.

I don't like the fact that when the phone hits 100% the charger shuts off and doesnt turn back on when the battery drops. I woke up this morning and thr battery was down to 88 percent.

I had heard the samsung one can be used with any qi compliant phone.

At any rate I haven't had any difficulty at all in placing the phone, besides it is immediately obvious when it is right as it beeps and the color changes. The circle makes it easy to center by feel but I have tried numerous angles and it works. I am just kind of ocd about having it line up with the logo direction even though it is covered.

I would caution when ordering I first ordered it via amazon from an offer that said "retail packaging". I got a green box that contained the pad and a tiny pamplet and nothing else, no cable or charger. Looked like what you might get in a bundle or warranty replacement. I returned it to amazon, went to best buy and showed them the a listing ($33.50) and got a retail package that included it. I believe the amazon one I ordered was via a reseller but they are listed multiple times best buy accepted it without hassle.
