Anyone bought one that share their thoughts

I got my Evo on Friday. My girlfriend got so tired of me talking about it she got a MyTouch 3G Slide yesterday and had me set it up for her. I like the phone a lot. Reminds me of the Samsung Moment. We are in Raleigh-Durham NC and her 3G web browsing (after I downloaded the Dolphin browser) was on par with my Evo.
All in all. Great first android phone for her.

I like it, it's pretty fast... granted I upgraded from a Wing, so anything new will seem fast to me. 
Came from blackberry 8320 and I love this phone. Super fast, no lag and Android is awesome. I would suggest fro anyone that needs a keyboard to get it.
Sofar i like it, not as nice of a screen as my Evo 4G had, or other hardware, but way less buggy, and better Service in my area!! Strangely, its just as snappy as The Evo 4G was for me...
Played with one today and I liked the phone but the UI sucked. The again it was the stock UI un-customized.

My boyfriend upgrade to the Slide from his Blackberry 8120. He's let me play with it. I'll tell you, after playing with it, I'm pissed that I wasted my upgrade on the Blackberry 9700. This phone is sweet. I've played with all of the T-Mobile Android devices, this by far has the nicest physical keyboard. In fact, I like the Slide's keyboard better than my 9700. It's a lot easier for my to type on. While I do miss my Pearls SureType keypad, I could get used to the Slide's QWERTY.
I've had mine for almost 2 weeks, and I like it a lot! I upgraded from rhe G1, and there is a huge difference as to how quick the slide is compared to the G1. The proc speed is not that different between the 2, but the coding differences between Andriod 1.6 (G1) and 2.1 update 1 (slide) make the slide seem like it's twice as fast. Plus HTC has (unofficially) announced that Froyo will be pushed to the slide makes having one that much better. The G1 was stuck with 1.6. The slide is the true successor to the G1, not the mytouch 3G (imho).
Ive been a long time blackberry user and have been looking into getting an android based phone, and i kept thinking when the next batch comes out. That next batch was the slide. I got it and i absolutely love it, more so then any one of my blackberrys(8310, 9000, and 9700).
just switched to android from my BB 8120. What a step up. I like the swipe entry, though it took a little getting used to. I thought I'd need a hardware keyboard - now I'm not so sure.
And on the HW KB: though everyone seems to rave over it, the keys seem a bit far apart for me to easily access. I'm sure I'll grow into it (and I was using a tiny BB Pearl).
My only real complaint is the lack of copy/paste within gmail. But I guess that's coming with 2.2.
Other than that, this is a great handset.

It's a sick phone. Absolutely love it. Coming off of a blackberry tour. I customized the veal out of this thing to my specific needs. Great phone. Only complaint is battery life isn't so great but maybe that's because I play with it a lot Haha. I would suggest getting an app killer though when you buy it. Extremely fast and responsive. Neverresets
I upgraded from the G1 like most customers. The slide is great, much faster, better Ui, more memory. Overall im very satisfied ! Im glad to see most people are leaving from their blackberrys ( aka wackberrys ). The only con i have about the phone and its not that serious is the keyboard. I enjoy having the numbers not mixed with the letters. like the 9 and 0. n e way over all if your thinking about it, stop it and go get it !!!

I bricked my wife's G1 and had to give her mine, so I had to get the slide. I am loving it!! The stock UI sucks ass and I hate the pre-installed apps from T-mobile, but I just bypass that by using ADW launcher and never open the apps from T-mobile. It's wicked fast and has so much more memory that the G1 that I may not even have to root it. I'm in agreement with Fexone on the keyboard. I also like having a dedicated row for the numbers. Other than that, way to go HTC!!
ditto, like it alot. Blows my g1 outta the water. Can't wait for 2.2. No complaints so far.
Bought mine two days after it came out (I had a handset upgrade coming, and I was jonesing for a new phone).
I love the slide-out keyboard (I simply cannot abide a touchscreen keyboard). Quick enough to suit me, I love the selection of apps available, and I love having the Web and my email available anytime I need it.
All in all, it fits me to a T. No complaints whatsoever.
