Whilst I agree that the Samsung Fold7 is an improvement on the Fold6 I noticed that in the Samsung Unpacked event that Samsung were careful to use phrases such as...

"Our thinnest Samsung Fold", "Our best camera on a Samsung Fold", "The slimmest Samsung Fold".

Only a few years ago, if you wanted a fold phone, Samsung were pretty much the only game in town. However, things have moved on and Samsung have some heavyweight rivals to contend with that offer identical or better features at a lower price and are beginning to eat in to Samsung's dominance in the Fold phone market. It is no longer, I believe, enough for Samsung to say... "This is our best Fold phone ever". They need to look at the devices that their competitors are offering at around £300/US$400 cheaper. Last year Samsung apologised for, "A lack of innovation", and this is starting to cost them in the Fold phone market. Perhaps the heavily rumoured Galaxy G Trifold phone later this year may be just what they need to pull ahead again.

The Honor V5 is fantastic in every aspect IMO. And even the V3 before it would give the Fold 7 a run for its money. That having been said the Fold 7 feels very solid and slick in hand. I have been using mine for a few days now and really love it.

I think the Fold 7 is going to pull ahead this time around do to form factor and software features and according to couple sites they didn't increase the battery tech so the battery degradation can last longer compared to the ones using newer tech so you have to look at do you want faster charging battery with bigger size that can last 2 days or ample fast charging and battery degradation at 6 year mark

Unfortunately most other brands other than OnePlus are a no go for me here in the US on Verizon.. I'd love battery tech like my OnePlus 13 on the Samsung phone but bump charging it is
That's the issue with the USA it seems. A lot of the new phones from Asian manufacturers will work on the Global networks but not fully on the USA's own networks. Coupled with US carriers demanding their own separate, adapted, firmwares and heavy tariffs imposed on imports, it does not make the US market as lucrative as it once was I am afraid. Just my opinion.

I am always looking for a new phone every 6-12 months. Ridiculous as I barely make any calls it's all about the scrolling. I also don't care about how long the battery last as I'm always near a power point and I carry a power charger if I know I might be out side longer than usual. I thought once I got the flip I'd be flip for ever as I love folding my phone but the camera was bad! I currently have the flip 6 (trading that in for the Fold 7) and the S24Ultra because I like taking pictures of the moon and zooming in on the artist when I'm at a concert. I don't mind not having the Spen as hardly use. Cannot wait for the Fold 7 to arrive. From being a gadget girl from my first Casio calculator watch, the tiny Sony Watchman, the blackberry with email, Archos AV TV recorder thing, to having a phone do all these wondrous things, this is a great time to be alive lol!
