Yeah I would never buy anything like this on eBay or any other site except a carrier or the actual manufacturer. Sorry that happened to your friend.

That seller is only selling the international version , so that will never happen to it.

Not if you buy from a reputable dealer or seller. EBay has a number of refund options or guarantees in case the purchase doesn't work out.

I have always sold my old phones on Ebay (my S8 plus is on there now) and i have had good luck (knock on wood). I find the Ebay / paypal policies to favor the buyer more than the seller, so that does worry me some.

Yes but eBay uses PayPal for payments. Have your friend file a fraud dispute and get their money back. I'm sure if you can prove it was a blacklisted phone/stolen they will refund you.

Nevermsrp is definitely legit. Have purchased from them several times. The listing I saw from them on ebay is a 955fd, which is the international gsm only version. Their phones are almost always factory unlocked international units.

buyer beware always buy from a dealer . when phones are this new you have to ask why are they selling it so soon and so much cheaper my advice don't do it
