For me the biggest difference is size. The Galaxy Watch is just too bulky. That is a personal preference so your mileage may vary. Costco had a good sale on the Galaxy Watch a couple of weeks ago and I seriously considered it, but I just don’t like the bulky look.

Casey, as a Fitbit Versa owner, I agree that its Smartwatch functions are inadequate.

I currently have a Fitbit Charge 2 and are considering purchasing the Galaxy Watch Active 2. I'm just unsure which should I get the LTE or Bluetooth. Would like the possibility to answer/call from the watch itself. Completely agree about not getting all the notifications with fitbit.

Are you all getting the LTE version?

I am getting the Bluetooth model. I really like the idea of an LTE model that would allow me to make calls without my phone. It would be very handy to not need to take my phone when I go for a walk/run. However, I have a very cheap prepaid phone plan and the LTE model would need a more expensive plan to work. I believe the LTE models work with postpaid plans and require an additional $10 per month to the phone carrier. If I could get a Smartwatch to work with a cheap prepaid plan I would be interested.

I have a Gear S2, LTE version but I have no wireless plan with it. I currently can answer and have calls on the watch as long as I am connected to my phone via Bluetooth. I would like to get the Active 2 but Bluetooth only model but I am not sure if the same functionality is available as I have now. I have not read anywhere about the capability which makes me a bit hesitant to order until I know for sure. My wife and I each have $150 credits with Samsung. Just wondering if anyone knows if only LTE version will let you take calls over Bluetooth even if you don't have a plan.

I reached out to Samsung customer service via chat, because I did not see the LTE version of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 availability for pre-order. I was informed that there is no confirmation on when the LTE version will be available. The person said as soon as it becomes available it will be on the website.

I tried to preorder today using the $150 coupon code I got for preordering the note 10+, but Samsung informed me the promo code cannot be used for preorders.

I preordered today. Now for the long wait for it to arrive. Patience is a virtue....just not a virtue that I happen to have ??????
