Anyone check their warranty coverage?

According to the Samsung Plus app my warranty ends May 26 2020. Just thought that was odd since that's more than a year.

Yeah same here, good to have couple of months grace period I guess compared to general 12 months.

June 6, 2020 here.

That gives us all plenty of time AFTER the launch of the S11 family to trade in while still under warranty...

where are you finding the date? I looked in legal information, warranty and just see 1 year with no date listed - where should I be looking?

just went to the website and saw 25 May 2020* ... looked at the * and saw this
"*Actual warranty period may vary based on date of purchase. If you think the warranty date shown is incorrect, please upload your bill of sale, by clicking on warranty review."

Samsung Members app

At the bottom: Get Help section

in Get Help, there are several areas/cards. The top area is "Register Your Samsung Product". Scroll down, and look for the My Products card. If your phone is there, tap it.

I would only do that if the warranty date was shorter than expected.

Samsung are the kings or denying warranties.

This is why I continue to buy carrier versions. I walk into an AT&T store and get taken care of.

Unlocked phones are so overrated, I'm surprised people still buy them knowing what a hassle it is to get service if something goes wrong. This whole "bloat" fear mongering that people created is laughable.

Good for you, I don't need freaking carrier support if something goes wrong. I'll take my chances and yes it's more of a hassle exchanging unlocked model via Samsung. Big deal, get it via Amazon who has the best customer service IMO or best buy if you want to buy/exchange locally.

For me unlocked phones work great and been using them for a number of years, I also get why majority of people buy from carriers but personally I'm glad that at least for people like me we have more options buying officially supported unlocked phones now a days compared to few years back.

And lol no one is creating this fear mongering thing, it's just a preference thing. It's just some of us want a clean device as intended by the OEM without any carrier modifications, carrier apps, services and many other carrier customization. Yes you can disable them, yes you can flash unlocked firmware on carrier model, yes you can do billion other things... But I'll take the unlocked model when I have an option and revert to other mechanism if needed.

I'll agree to disagree. There are other reasons than just the "bloat" that I prefer a carrier phone.

It depends on the phone...my pixel is unlocked but supports carrier advanced calling features on Verizon which are a must for me. It also has fantastic support from Google. Samsung, I had to get the Verizon version.

Well I'm agreeing with you not on everyone should go buy an unlocked model. I'm just saying it's a preference thing and some us don't care about the benefits you personally see from a carrier phone. Generally, majority of people buying unlocked phones know what they are getting, may not support some carrier features on some carriers etc. But we see benefits in other things which others don't see and is completely fine.

And also, I never said your should not buy a carrier phone just because of bloat and as I mentioned in my original post you can disable them anyway if you don't like.

Agreed.
