So I'd like to know what smart watch everyone is using and why? I just recently switched from apple to samsung, I had the X with a series 2 apple watch. I now have the Note 9 and a S3 frontier (traded my apple watch for it). The S3 is nice but one thing I don't like is when connected to my phone it doesn't mute my phones notifications and just ding my watch, So my phone dings then a split second later the watch dings. I really just want my watch to go off, that was one thing I really liked about the apple watch, all notifications came to the watch and no noise from the phone.

Is there a setting I'm missing or is that just a feature that isn't there?

I could have sworn there used to be the option to mute phone while connected to smartwatch but I cannot find it. I just mute my phone and turn the volume up on my watch.

I have a S3 Frontier as well all I do is just put my device on Silent.

On the galaxy wearable app go to settiings>notificatons you have to turn on show only while wearing watch and then it lets me toggle the next one, mute connected phone

I have the show only while wearing toggled on, but I don't have an option for mute connected phone

I really don't want to manually mute my phone, then phone and watch should be smart enough to realize when its connected and being worn. That is the one thing I liked about the apple watch I could leave it on and lay it on the charger at home and then I would start getting notifications on my phone again bc it realized that it wasn't being worn

hmm I am using a galaxy watch I just got but I am pretty sure I had the same option on my s2 classic that I was using before.

I chatted with samsung and with my watch being bluetooth only they say it won't mute the phone which I think just sucks

That is in the watch settings under notifications

I currently have a gear S3 Frontier connected to my note 9 it is an LTE version from AT&T but since I'm on Sprint I'm using it as Bluetooth only. Which works fine for me.

And definitely go into the settings for the Galaxy app for the phone the gear app. You will be able to change so notifications don't show up on your phone when your watch is connected

I have the galaxy watch on preorder but at the moment I have a garmin fenix 5x plus and it syncs like a dream. Looking forward to the galaxy watch as my daily driver and my garmin for my runs.

I have the lg sport watch, had it for 15 months. Now about an hour after use, it stops working. Even though the battery is at 85-90 percent. Have to put it on charger to get working again. This seems like a known problem, with no fix. So, I wouldn't get the LG sport watch.

my watch is LTE compatible with Verizon. Gear S3 Frontier. I knocked it off the bill since I hardly use it anyway, so right now I have it connected to the phone through Bluetooth.

Just got the Galaxy 46mm Watch. Love it. Works great with Note9. Battery has been really improved from the S3 Frontier. 2 days goin....at 43%

Had the s3 for the first week with my note 9, but I wasn't happy with the s3 since the Tizen 3.0 update. Picked up the galaxy watch Tuesday and so far I'm liking it, but I don't wear it all day because my job would ruin it. Battery life seems decent with all the features turned on and it's much more responsive than the s3. The only thing I'll really miss is the mst.
