Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls with the AT&T Note 4?

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls? (AT&T Note 4?)

I'm on AT&T and I find call quality and reliability to be far above what I experienced with my GS3. I'm very happy with the phone in this phone.

I may have to make that my new signature.

AT&T Note 4 -
I can say that I picked up a Note 4 on 12/31 and while I'm sitting at my house and calling i get dropped calls all the time. Sometimes that person never even hears the ring(I know this because I'm calling my daughter sitting next to me). She has an iPhone5c and hasn't gotten a single dropped call. The phone will go into the no network while ringing the other phone.

AT&T has been called and I've actually reported(they said the first time that the phone for some reason hadn't released the tower and I'm in an area that it could be on either one). I understand that but I'm not calling them multiple times a day or turning off and on the phone to do that(it's not a blackberry). I have a Note 2 that is a unlocked one from Verizon and it works fine after I set it up with the same SIM so I think it's the Note 4

I'm going to the local AT&T store today to switch out the device, if this doesn't work then I'll have to try the iPhone6+ or something else and I really don't want an iPhone.

That must be frustrating. However, your options aren't limited to an iPhone. If a replacement Note 4 doesn't do the trick and you desire a phablet you could go with a G3, Nexus 6, or other device.

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls? (AT&T Note 4?)

I have had my Note 4 since the day of launch and I don't recall ever dropping a call. I am on AT&T and find the call quality to be outstanding. All phone have their issues. I switch phone once or twice a year. I have had the LG G3, Galaxy S5, S4 and S3 when they launched and I can tell you from experience, ALL phones have their issues. When you come to a forum you will find reports of issues people are having so that they may get input from other users who have seen and fixed that problem, but out of the millions sold, the minute number of problems being reported is nothing at all to condemn the line for.

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls? (AT&T Note 4?)

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and I am having the same problem. Sprint is my carrier. I have exchanged the phone thinking that it was an issue with the device itself but that doesn't seem to be the case because its happening even on the new device. I am very frustrated because this phone cost over $800 to be dealing with dropped calls. I had the Note 3 before this and my husband currently has the Note 4 and he is not having these issues. I'm not sure what to do at this point but I am very frustrated.

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls with the AT&T Note 4?

My note 4 would not stay connected to a call either. I could sit in the exact same spot using my s5 and talk for an hour. I am with verizon. I had the same problem with my note 3. I went through 3 of the note 3's thinking it was a defect. I did not have this problem with my note 2. I ended up returning the note 4 and I am back using the galaxy s5. I hate the small screen and miss my s-pen!! I personally think it is a design flaw...I cant believe samsung quality control would be so bad I ended up with 4 phones that were defective???

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls? (AT&T Note 4?)

I've had mine since November and I haven't experienced any problems. I was in a 45 minute conference call last week with no trouble.

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls? (AT&T Note 4?)

I'm on ATT and my note edge experience has not been the best either in terms of dropped calls. I bought the phone at launch and my first edge had an unresponsive side screen so I exchanged it within the first 14 days. The second edge worked perfect with no issues at all ....for a while. After a few weeks my phone could not maintain a phone call. On every phone call I made the phone would drop the call and give me the message, No service available or out of network range. I called ATT and they said it was a sim card issue so I replaced the Sim. Her I am over a week later and still suffering from dropped calls although not as frequently. I plan to call ATT and let them know about the continued dropped calls but I do not want them to exchange my device with a refurb!

I have AT&T and a Note 4 and I haven't had any issues with calls dropping.

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls? (AT&T Note 4?)

No problem with dropped calls here.

Re: Anyone else experiencing constant dropped calls? (AT&T Note 4?)

My boyfriends note 4 does the same thing. Other phones work perfectly fine in the same location, including my S5. Sometimes my phone will ring and his will never even know it had a call. Texts come in twice sometimes or not at all. It gets very annoying. AT&T says he's on the borderline between 2 towers' coverage but he should still get service if that's the case.

My first note 3 never dropped calls. My asurion replacement does intermittently. I was going to get a note 4 but I don't like the sounds of this thread. Gotta stay android so not sure which new phone to buy now.
