Anyone else getting the finger?

I've gotten used to keeping my finger out of the shot. Great pics!

Nice shots! The Cubs thing was crazy, huh? I really like how the subway one looks. This wide lens is really fun to snap pictures with :) Not too impressed with the final quality of the pictures, but for social media and general memory keeping, they're OK. (I guess I've been 'spoiled' with Samsung shots for a while :S)

The volume keys should have been placed on the lower part of the phone, not the upper part of the phone near camera lens (and far from reach with one hand). I usually try to use those keys for the shutter.

I wish Simple Mode was on the main camera screen instead of behind settings menu. Like on G5. That made it much easier to take a picture, by just tapping anywhere.

Thanks! Yeah it was pretty crazy last week. Definitely a good win for the city.

Actually the final quality is really good. It just gets turned to crap when uploaded to social media sites. These pics look so much better on my PC and on my devices.

Take a closer look at the pixels, though (and if you print in large media that will show). The pixels on final V20 pictures look rough, kinda blurry around the edges (especially in not-super-bright-light and more apparent on the wide angle lens sensor). Samsung pictures usually only look like that in very low light shots. Again, they look great on the phone's screen and for most uses, but when you look really close, you'll see what I mean. And that, unfortunately, it's all LG's processing and not so much the sensor.

You can see the review at AC and she got really noisy shots (even in RAW format) from lower-light shots.

Don't use two hands to hold the phone when taking a picture, and hold it from the bottom side (where the USB port is).

Yeah definitely inconsistent. I do have some photos that are sharper or you really have to zoom a lot more to see the rough pixels. If majority of my photos look sharp on my 4k monitors then I'm happy. I don't plan to do large prints anyway. I have my mirror less camera for that. I've been taking some photos with the Google Camera app and it does give better results from what little I've seen so far so it's more than likely a LG software issue. Hope they release a fix for it but I won't hold my breath.

Have you seen that much difference using the Google (Pixel) Camera app? I tried it and didn't see a difference in quality, although I haven't tried more that 2 or 3 shots. Main advantage of the Pixel camera is its HDR, and unfortunately when I loaded it, that is not an option on the V20, so Google must be keeping that Pixel exclusive...

Yeah haven't done too much comparison with different types of lighting situations. But the few shots I've taken I do notice a difference. But yes the HDR mode is not available for non Google devices. At least not yet. I'm still going to do more comparison shots and load them on my PC to really see how big of a difference it is.

Yeah, that's what I try to do but sometimes you just gotta hold the phone with two hands (windy beach, for instance). Definitely takes some finesse haha

Let us know and/or post your results!

You can flip the phone over in "upside down" landscape mode so the volume rocker is top right.

I get the finger in the frame sometimes when I use the volume rocker.. Lol but I see it and move my hand.

loving the wide angle camera no fingering this one.

Man my dad grew up in the era where they slapped your left hand with a ruler in school to make you use your right hand. I was shocked to find out there are still people who don't realize that "lefties are in their right mind!"

Here! Here! I'm a leftie, too! Couldn't have said it better myself. Left handed people are the only people in their right mind. : )
