Anyone else having this screen defect?

You should send it to Samsung and get a new device or a replacement and you should be fine
 
Actually I think Im gonna compare specs of the two phones and see which ones are the same.
Could be useful in pinpointing the problem if its hardware related...
 
Dial *#0*# to get into service mode and check out the screen hardware there.. You will know if it's hardware or software from that...
