Anyone else lose an email account?

I have two email accounts setup on the HTC Mail app in my device: an Exchange account with my work email and a Hotmail account. Just now I noticed that I haven't been receiving email from the Hotmail account so I went into the Mail app and the account isn't there to choose it when I tap the account name dropdown! Anyway, I tried to add the account again and the device states that the account already exists and doesn't let me add it again! Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Your going to have to erase the email apps cache and start over! Something corrupted your hot mail acct!

So that means I also lose My Exchange account info stored in Mail right? That's not fun at all!

Well, that doesn't work. I can clear the cache, but it doesn't fix it. Clear data? Can't do that because the button to do so is inactive. The button to force close the app is also inactive ugh. This phone was awesome but it's starting to drive me nuts...
