Hi all..
I got my G2x several days ago and have had zero problems with it.
The first thing I did, as far as the battery, was install Battery Dr. and then let the batter drain all the way down before the first full charge.. battery life has been fine.

I'm by no means implying that the reports aren't legit, I believe others are having problems.
I also know that people only post when they're having problems and not when they're NOT having problems so wanted to start this thread.

If I am having any glitches, it's not in anything I use regularly so I haven't noticed and it doesn't have any impact on my use.

I came from the Optimus V on Virgin Mobile and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the G2x... and with my corporate discount I got the phone for $100 off and the plan is only $10 more a month on T-mobile than on Virgin.. pretty sweet.

Anyway, if you're NOT having problems with your phone, please post here so people reading the forum know that not EVERY G2x has problems. :)

I haven't had any problems since I flashed the Eagle's Blood 1.0.4 ROM. Before that it was a nearly constant reboot issue, 5 or 6 times a day.

Ultra G2x

So I was having issues as well with reboots and bad battery drain. I installed Ultra G2x and since then, no reboots, decent battery (though at times it's just as bad)...but at the same time now I'm having FCs EVERYTIME I try and pair with a bluetooth. So I think ROMs are a blessing and a curse. I will probably go back to stock but in stock I was having horrible GPS issues as well.

*sigh*

Nope not a single problem for me this phone is great! Actually, i had a problem with picture messaging but that turned out to be my fault for messing with the settings in Go SMS. I'm sure that whatever problems there are are from manufacturing or or from something before you got the phone at least.

Only problem I'm having is everywhere I go, people want to touch the phone. Today at the sub shop the server offered to buy it. I said if I sold it I'd have to buy a sensation.

Besides a small issue with an authentication error message I get when trying to find software updates, which TMO claims will not hinder the dl of official software updates (I Hope) nothing else is wrong with the device. LOVE IT. Just wished I knew how to prevent apps from randomly opening up and running in the background even after I kill them with a task killer. The problems of being a noob to android.:-\

Task Killers are not recommending with Android 2.2 and higher. You can't stop those apps from reopening. Android will automatically kill them if/when memory is needed.

I have had virtually zero problems with my G2x... it is by far the finest phone I have ever had. And the guys at the T-Mobile store told me to hang on and be patient for Gingerbread. They have played with one that has the official (still in beta) T-Mobile release of Gingerbread on the G2x and they said it is phenominal. They even said that it completely blows the Sensation away with Gingerbread on it. And, we don't have to deal with Sense! As far as I am concerned.. and the T-Mobile guys as well, the G2x is THE best phone T-Mobile has... even outshinning the Sensation.

Flashed Eagleblood 1.04 and all is good. No problems to start with but Eaglesblood made the G2X run really smooth and fast................

Same story here. Though for me it was flashing Ultimate G2x. Once I did all the fixes that everyone recommended it has solved ALLLLLL my issues (except for the stupid battery!). GPS catches a signal in seconds even while driving around, bluetooth connects and stays connected, and BEST of all, NO RANDOM REBOOTS! It's shocking! Another great thing to do is flash Faux123 Kernel and overclock to 1.5ghz. It makes the G2x really use all its power. Now I can't wait for Ultimate the Gingerbread version when LG and Magenta finally release the gbread update for us!
